We base this attribution on the same medium, style, subject, complexity, and signature as used by Riopelle. Medium: Oil on canvas. Condition: Good overall appearance with minor aging in the paint. Edition: Unique original work of art. Signature: Lower left. Size: 30 x 30 in. Frame: 32 x 32 in.
Provenance: From the private estate of a long time art collector. According to the consignor this fine painting has not undergone an expert authentication certification process,
hence is being sold as manner of the artist.
Jean-Paul Riopelle, CC GOQ RCA was a Canadian painter and sculptor from Quebec. He had one of the longest and most important international careers of the sixteen signatories of the Refus Global, the 1948 manifesto that announced the Quebecois artistic community's refusal of clericalism and provincialism.

Died: March 12, 2002 (age 78 years), Saint-Antoine-de-l'Isle-aux-Grues, Canada.
